The Department of Defense Scholarship Program provides students with the chance to study in the United States on Fully Funded scholarships. These Department of Defense Scholarships have been announced and are available for the academic year 2022.

Eligibility Criteria

Check the requirements below to discover whether you qualify for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The following requirements must be met by all applicants:

  • You must be a citizen of the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom at the time of application.
  • You must be 18 years old or older by August 1, 2022.
  • Able to do at least one internship during the summer (multi-year scholars only).
  • Obtaining at least one year of degree funding prior to graduation (starting on the program start date);
  • After graduation, intend to work for the Department of Defense.
  • A current student with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • Obtaining a technical bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of the 21 STEM subjects mentioned previously.
  • Have a college transcript for the fall of 2021 from a regionally accredited US college or university, OR be pursuing a graduate degree at a regionally accredited US institution or university.
  • Active duty military members must be separated or on terminal leave on or before August 1, 2022 to be eligible for the scholarship. Reserve and National Guard members are eligible to apply. Applicants must be current ROTC members who have pledged a commitment to serve in the military in the future.
